Mastering Jonathan Scales Fourchestra Album
I recently had the honor of mastering the new Jonathan Scales Fourchestra album, “Mixtape Symphony.” The album is scheduled to be released on Tuesday May 13, 2014 on Ropeadope Records.
“Mixtape Symphony” will be Jonathan’s fifth official release, and his second with the Fourchestra. Jonathan has recorded and performed with the likes of Victor Wooten, Roy “Future Man” Wooten, Howard Levy, Oteil Burbridge, Kofi Burbridge, The Duhks, Jeff Sipe, Jeff Coffin, and Casey Driessen. This is a world-class album across the board; the playing, the instrumentation, the compositions, the production value, all instantly obvious once you listen to the album.
I first met Jon while attending Appalachian State University. We both graduated from the Hayes School of Music at ASU. Jon’s work ethic is truly something to aspire to.
Check out this brand new video for the first track on the album, titled “Mississippi.” Filmed at Echo Mountain in Asheville, NC.
